Nigeria your one stop destination for Vacation

You must have heard of the African continent, but have you been to any of the countries on the continent?
Nigeria is a fascinating country and will probably be the most memorable country you visit.

Nigeria is a country situated on the Afrcan continent located between 0 and 15 degrees north latitude and between 0 and 15 degrees east longitude. Nigeria is located east of Benin, south of Niger, southwest of Chad, and west of Cameroon.

Blessed with beautiful arable lands and an abundance of mineral resources in each of the 36 state and the Federal capital which is the seat of government.

Nigeria is known for its 250 ethnic tribes, good music, and the best jollof rice in the world!

An African country on the Gulf of Guinea, with many natural landmarks and wildlife reserves. Protected areas such as Cross River National Park and Yankari National Park have waterfalls, dense rainforest, savanna and rare primate habitats. One of the most recognizable sites is :

Zuma Rock, a 725m-tall monolith outside the capital of Abuja that’s pictured on the national currency.

Oguta Lake is a lean 'finger lake' formed by the damming of the lower Njaba River with alluvium. It is the largest natural lake in Imo State, Southeastern Nigeria;within the equatorial rainforest region of Niger Delta. Oguta Lake's catchment area comprises the drainage area of the Njaba River and a part of the River Niger floodplain in the region south of Onitsha.

The Jos Wildlife Park features rare and exotic collection of wild animals, reptiles, and birds; it was established in 1972 and extends into the pine forest and the Vongnifwel Hill. There are picnic centres within the park and a history museum that tells the story of the park and state.

The Jos Zoological Garden on the other hand was established in 1957 and situated within Jos Metropolis, featuring a wide collection of wildlife for tourism purposes.

And the Pandam Game Reserve and Lake in Quan-Pan is the best place for sports fishing and relaxation purposes at all festive periods.

The hill of Idanre is one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in Nigeria . It includes such cultural sites as "Owa's Palace, Shrines, Old Court, Belfry, Agbooogun footprint, thunder water (Omi Apaara) and burial mounds and grounds". It resides 3000 ft above sea level and houses a unique ecosystem upon which the cultural landscape has integrated. On getting to the entrance of the hill you will see a great tree at the entrance of the ancient city of Idanre called the IRAYE TREE, then you can now get prepared to take the steps to the great city beyond the hills of Idanre.

Nigeria is certainly one you should visit.

Obasanjo's Plans for ING

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has set his mind on regime change “by fair or foul means” and is plotting to plunge Nigeria into crisis, presidential spokesman Reuben Abati has said. He was reacting to statements credited to Obasanjo on Saturday that President Goodluck Jonathan was plotting to win the 2015 general election by “hook or crook”. Obasanjo had endorsed Jonathan’s main challenger Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday, but then seemed to backtrack on Thursday. There are insinuations that Obasanjo is not well disposed to Buhari either and would want an interim national government (ING) to be headed by him to midwife new elections in which neither Jonathan nor Buhari would be candidates.

Regina Askia writes President Buhari on state of nation

Onetime actress turned nurse, Regina Askia Williams, has written to President Muhammadu Buhari on the state of nation. Thanking the president for his fight against corruption, the actress asked why there seem to be one unrest after the other in the country. “Thank you for all your effort at containing the corruption in Nigeria however unpopular," she began. Continuing, she wrote, 'Nigerians elected you through serious acrimony, loosing several lives and facing deadly unrest but they chose you. Though you are from the North of OUR country you are president of all. How is it that violence and deaths still hold sway? 'My hope and prayer was that on your ascension you would deploy our military with fiat and alacrity armed to the teeth and silence or at least contain Boko Haram. My prayer was that as a seasoned General you would not only flush out king pins and barons but retrieve the loot as you napped them one after the other but we see them working for you. Is th...
