Police kill two suspects on bank robbery operation

Men of the Osun Police Command on Friday killed two suspected armed robbers in Ikirun area of the state, while robbing a new generation bank in the town. DSP Folashade Odoro, the Police Public Relations Officer of the command, who confirmed the incident, said two of the armed robbers were killed during cross fire. She said two others were captured alive, adding that one of captured robbers was seriously wounded. Odoro explained that the robbers attacked the bank with dynamite and also placed explosives in strategic locations to aid the robbery operation. Odoro said that men of police anti-bomb squad were able to identify the explosives and successfully defused them. She said that one of the robbers who sustained bullet injury was among the two arrested, while the rest escaped through the residential areas. Trump Supporters File 'Birther' Lawsuit Against Ted Cruz

Supporters of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump have filed a federal lawsuit challenging the eligibility of Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R) to run for president. The suit, filed in federal court in Alabama, alleges that Cruz is not a "natural born citizen" of the United States, and should therefore be disqualified from seeking the office of president. Cruz was born in Canada in 1970 to an American mother. The plaintiffs, Sebastian Green, Shannon Duncan, Kathryn Spears, Kyle Spears and Jerry Parker, are all residents of Cullman County and supporters of Cruz's opponent, Donald Trump, according to AL.com. Trump, a billionaire real estate developer, first rose to political prominence in 2008 as the leader of the "birther" movement, which claimed that President Barack Obama was not eligible to serve as president because he was not a natural born citizen. 15-year-old girl claims Jesus Christ divinely impregnated her

A 15-year old girl, Latifah Smith-Nabengana has claimed that Jesus Christ impregnated her after a “divine encounter.” Smith-Nabengana who hails from Ohio in the United State, said an “Angel of God in July 2015, during an encounter told her that she had been chosen to bear the Christ’s son.” According to Smith-Nabengana, “He told me that he was a Nephilim, like those described in the Bible. He told me that he had a message from Jesus, He said that I was going to be pregnant, and that I would give birth to a son, Jesus’ son.” She added, “The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. Pastor W.F. Kumuyi  Popular preacher, Pastor W.F. Kumuyi has allegedly stated that some of his church’s doctrines that are man-made will be destroyed. Pastor Kumuyi, who is the founder and general superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible church, reportedly took to his pulpit, to deliver a message that left some, if not all of his members, shocked. Mosquitoes Carrying Zika Virus Exist In Nigeria —Health Minister

THE Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, has said that the mosquitoes carrying Zika virus are in Nigeria and urged Nigerians to protect themselves by using mosquito nets. He also called on Nigerians to remain calm, be vigilant and report any suspected case of an acute febrile illness in pregnant women, in particular, to any nearest health facility. Adewole made this disclosure at a press briefing, yesterday, in Abuja, where he explained that the mosquitoes were active and flying, adding that they bite during the day and early morning. He said: “Nigerian scientists working in Western Nigeria in 1954 discovered Zika virus in Nigeria. Further studies in the years 1975 to 1979 showed that 40 per cent of Nigeria adults and 25 per cent of Nigerian children have antibodies to Zika virus, meaning they are protected against this virus. “Despite the fact that some Nigerians are immune to the Zika virus infection as demonstrated by previous studies, it is important and advisable that Nigeri...
