Former governor of Abia state and Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA) candidate for the March 5 Abia North Senatorial District rerun, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, has said he would be in pole position to address problems, which gave rise to agitation by pro-Biafra groups such as Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) and Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), if elected into the Senate. Speaking at Igbere, his home town, during the last lap of his campaign tour of Abia North, Kalu said the issue of the pro-Biafra groups was so serious and delicate that it required someone with commanding respect from both divides like him to handle it to the satisfaction of all.
