(AFP) US Vice President Joe Biden has offered an account of Osama bin Laden’s death that contradicts that of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and his own past statement as issues related to the September 11 attack take center stage in the run-up to the 2016 presidential race in the United States. Biden, who yet remains undecided whether to run for president, said Tuesday during a panel discussion at The George Washington University that he did not oppose the Navy SEAL’s raid on a compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, that allegedly killed the al-Qaeda leader in 2011. The vice president said there were only two definitive views on the mission from then-Defense Secretary Robert Gates and former CIA director Leon Panetta, tacitly questioning support for the mission by Democratic front ru...

Arsenal manager, Wenger reavels secrets how he won Bayern Munich

Arsene Wenger hailed his Arsenal side for their performance in a must-win game against Bayern Munich -- but warned their Champions League fate still remains in the balance. Having opened their European campaign with consecutive defeats to Dynamo Zagreb and Olympiakos, the Gunners returned to form with a 2-0 victory over an in-form Bayern side courtesy of second-half goals from Olivier Giroud and Mesut Ozil. Wenger named the same starting line-up that had won at Watford at the weekend, with Theo Walcott again played through the middle as the main striker. It was a header from the England forward which drew a stunning first-half save from Bayern's Manuel Neuer -- although the World Cup winner was at fault for Arsenal's opener.

I have seen wealthy Nigerians joins BH ---- says Osibajo

The Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has said he has seen wealthy individuals who are being enlisted into terrorism. He, however, did not name the individuals. A statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr. Laolu Akande, on Tuesday, quoted the Vice President as saying this while receiving the United States’ Special Envoy on Counter-terrorism Communication, Rashad Hussain, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Monday. Osinbajo was quoted as saying that the development was a clear departure from the case of those who were lured into terrorism for money. “I have seen people who are well-to-do being recruited into terrorism,” the statement quoted Osinbajo as saying. He wondered why for some strange reasons, terrorist groups, made up of completely mindless and almost insane people, were not finding it difficult to recruit people. He said it would have been understandable if the terrorists had been preaching better life, equity and such other lof...

Breaking!!! US-Russia deal to avoid Syria air incidents.

United States and the Russia have signed a deal that they hope will avoid clashes between their air forces in the skies over Syria, officials from both countries say . Russian began air strikes in Syria on 30 September, saying it was targeting Islamic State (IS) militants. Last week, the US said both countries' planes "entered the same battle space" and came within miles of each other. Officials had been seeking an agreement since late September. Pentagon spokesman Peter Cook said the text of the deal would remain secret, but that it laid out means for both sides to communicate and establish a hotline on the ground. The two countries would not, however share intelligence on their targets, He said. Western countries and Syrian activists say Russian planes have been hitting non-IS targets - a claim Moscow denies. Russia said it began its aerial campaign against IS militants and other jihadist groups after a request for military help from its ally, Syrian Pr...

If you see Janet Jackson in concert and shoot a video -- warning: keep it off Instagram or there will be hell to pay, as in ... your content being deleted out from under your nose. Several Janet fans are claiming their IG accounts were completely taken off the grid without warning after they posted video from one of JJ's "Unbreakable" tour stops. IG sent out an email to the account holder saying their uploads violated copyrights. Since the copyright on Janet's music would belong to her and/or her label ... it seems like her camp is behind the crackdown. Some Janet fans aren't taking it well, since they're also losing non-Janet content. As one put it ... "Definitely boycotting Janet Jackson in concert & Instagram until this is resolved." That might be a while. Some users got a message saying their account has been permanently deleted. Translation: Your IG friends are gonna ... miss you much. We reached out to Janet's label, BMG, and Inst...
