Policeman who killed self, three others to be dismissed even in death – Lagos CP

I think, by now the Nigeria Police force should have realised, that their apologies an excuses never bring back the lives of dear ones. Much needs to be done... Stephen James, the police sergeant who shot himself after killing three men at the weekend in Lagos would be dismissed posthumously, the state Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, has said. DAILY POST reports that James at about 4pm on Saturday in the Ketu area of the state, ambushed and killed three men, including two siblings for advising him to behave as an adult. James, a Sergeant with force number 217884, attached to MOPOL 22, Oduduwa, GRA, Ikeja, was said to have threatened to shoot anyone who refused to buy alcohol for him at the hotel bar. Reacting to the misfortune, Owoseni said the cop will be tried and dismissed in death, adding that the Sergeant can no longer be a member of the force following his callous behaviour. “We would try him even in death and dismiss him for his actions. EFCC Files Charges Against Ex PDP Chairman And His Son Over N600m Diversion

Former  National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Minister of defense, Dr. Haliru Mohammed Bello, and his son,Abbah Mohammed,  have both been formally charged by the  Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for collecting N600 million from the former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki. According to reports, father and son are likely to be docked on Tuesday and Wednesday next week.  Mohammed Bello’s son,  Abbah Mohammed, allegedly received N600m from the Office of the NSA (ONSA) in the name of Bam Properties, however, the reason for the transfer of the money to the company was not disclosed.
