Kogi: APC Candidate Audu Reportedly Dead

According to Sahara Reporters: The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi state, Mr. Abubakar Audu is dead. Mr. Audu died of undisclosed medical reasons shortly after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared his victory at the elections inconclusive. Saharareporters could not determine the cause of Mr. Audu's death. This makes Abubakar Audu the first leading gubernatorial candidate in Nigeria's history to ever die on election day. Could this be true? 

Suspected Conman Dressed Like a Woman to Defraud Men

According to the state commissioner of Police, Fatia Owoseni, Alam had been going around with his fraudulent act but ran out of luck when one of his alleged victims, identified as Hasimu Soli, who he was said to have obtained N15,000 from under false pretence that he was going to marry him. Subsequently, he escaped only for Soli to sight him at the CMS area of Lagos on November 15 and a quarrel ensued, leading to the police from the Lion Building Police station to arrest the two men. CP Owoseni narrated:  “On Sunday, November 15, at CMS , Lagos, a patrol team attached to the Lion Building Police Division arrested the suspect, who went about bearing a woman’s name, Kadijat, and dressed in Muslim hijab. The  suspect met one Hassimu of No. 25, Iyana Street, Ajegunle and agreed to a relationship and had falsely obtained N15,000 from Mr. Soli under the guise of marrying him. Mr. Soli had wanted to take Kadijat (suspect) home, but he  refused, giving various excuses. ...

#KogiDecides: INEC Declares Kogi Guber Election Inconclusive

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the governorship election of Kogi state inconclusive. Emmanuel Kucha, the returning officer of the election, announced the development at the INEC headquarters in the state, saying the margin between the two leading candidates is less than the number of the cancelled votes. Kucha gave the number of cancelled votes as 49,953 and the margin between Abubakar Audu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Idris Wada, the incumbent governor and candidate of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP), as 41,353. Audu secured 240,867 votes ahead of Idris, who had 199,514 votes.

Female police officer stripped naked in Onitsha

There was pandemonium on Saturday at Bridge Head, Onitsha when a female police officer, identified as Inspector Tochukwu was allegedly abused, molested and almost stripped naked by a famous wealthy man. The much dreaded man, Ngozi Okpagu had also allegedly slapped a commissioner of police last year. An eye witness who gave his name as Tunde alleged that Offoegbu was on duty when the ‘big man’, who owns a park in Onitsha approached her threatening to facilitate her removal from Onitsha as he did to one Archibong. “At that point, the female police officer demanded from him what she did that would warrant her removal and in reply he slapped  her for daring him. His boys also joined and immediately they tore the female officer’s uniform, almost revealing her nakedness. “She ran for her life into the police post to avoid the peering eyes of the public.
