Nwankwo Kanu Named In List Of Top 48 Legends Of Football Worldwide

The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) have named Nwankwo Kanu in the top 48 legend of football worldwide. IFFHS released the first phase of the list which includes Brazilian greats Pele and Ronaldo da Lima, mtn football reported. Notable Africans on the list include former World player of the year George Oppong Weah, Roger Milla, Rabah Medjer, Muhammed Aboutrika, Mohmud El-Khatub and former Bafana Bafana captain Lucas Radebe. FFHS were formed in 1984 under FIFA’s approval and they focus on archiving football records,statistics and records of associations across the globe. Kanu was the last Nigerian to win the CAF African Footballer of the Year award in 1999. He played for Ajax, Inter Milan and Arsenal.

Danfulani lampoons El-Rufai You ordered my arrest, but your comments against PDP were worse –(Letter).

A lecturer with Kaduna State University, Dr John Danfulani, has lambasted Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, for allegedly attempting to gag his critics. Danfulani, who was recently granted bail after being arrested by the Police over inciting comments, reminded the Governor that heaven did not fall when he made several incting comments during the past PDP-government, led by Goodluck Jonathan. In a letter obtained by DAILY POST on Thursday, Danfulani said El-Rufai said everything and acted the way he wanted while in opposition. “It’s your turn to hear and see many things from the opposition. Why are you trying to deny others the roller coaster you had while in opposition?” he quipped.
