A Kungfu school in Dengfeng city, where Shaolin Monastery located in Central China, is aiming to teach students how to apply Kungfu skills into playing soccer.
The school is planning to choose 50 boys and 50 girls from some 30,000 Kungfu students into two new soccer classes. The students chosen will be from 10 years old to 12 years old.
“Combining martial arts with soccer is a reform in our soccer system”, said Zhang Wenshen, head of physical culture department from local government.
