On Wednesday, the tennis star posted a long, entertaining story on Facebook about a man who snatched her phone when she was out to dinner. Maybe he didn’t realize she was a world-class athlete and international icon of badassery, because he apparently didn’t think she’d be able to catch him as he ran out of the restaurant.
After recounting the tale, Williams called herself a superhero and encouraged her followers to listen to their own “superhero inner voice.” She called the whole incident a “win for the ladies” and said, “Just because you are a lady don’t be afraid to step up to any challenge and not be a victim but a hero
