Samsung Officially Pulls Plug on Galaxy Note 7

After months of controversy and damage control, Samsung has officially announced its plans to end production on the Samsung Galaxy Note 7.  “Taking our customer’s safety as our highest priority, we have decided to halt sales and production of the Galaxy Note 7,” said the company in a statement. This announcement comes on the heels of new issues, including the recall of the supposedly safe Note 7 replacement phones given to customers. All consumers of original and replacement Note 7 phones worldwide have been urged to power the phones down completely and return them to wherever they were purchased. It was in August, less than a month after the phone’s release, that reports began to circulate of the phone catching fire due to defective batteries. By September, Samsung released a recall on all the phones and began to distribute replacement devices. While the worldwide discontinuation of the Note 7 was widely expected, the decision still marks a notable period for the t...

Discover Yourself

Imagine that I really was talking about a romantic relationship. What if your best friend who was no longer in love with his or her boyfriend/girlfriend, told you that he or she was getting married, because they did not want the past four years of their relationship to go to waste. If you are a good friend, you may tell your best friend that they did not waste their time. More than likely, they've grown and learned valuable life lessons that they can use moving forward. They probably have a better idea of what they like, and what they don't like. You may tell them that in the grand scheme of life, four years in a relationship is not enough time to justify an eternity of unhappiness. Now, look in the mirror and give yourself the same advice. Say, "Hey self, you have learned a lot! You have so many valuable, transferable skills." Now that they are gone, let's talk about your wasted time. Next we'll address the most pressing and complicated concern -- Mone...

SOME LESSONS OF LIFE

SOME LESSONS OF LIFE 1. Japanese have always loved fresh fish But the water close to Japan has not held many fish for decades. 2. So to feed the Japanese population, fishing boats got bigger and went farther than ever. The further the fishermen went, the longer it took to bring the fish If the return trip took more time, the fish were not fresh. 3. To solve this problem, fish companies installed freezers on their boats. They would catch the fish and freeze them at sea. Freezers allowed the boats to go farther and stay longer. However, the Japanese could taste the difference between fresh and frozen fish and they did not like the taste of  frozen fish The frozen fish brought a lower price. 4. So, fishing companies installed fish tanks. They would catch the fish and stuff them in the tanks, fin to fin. After a little thrashing around, they were tired, dull, and lost their fresh-fish taste. The fishing industry faced an impending crisis! 5. But today, they get fresh-...

PASTOR DISGUISES HIMSELF AS A DESTITUTE.

Pastor Jeremiah Steepek transformed himself into a homeless person and went to the 10,000- member church that he was to be introduced as the head pastor that morning. He walked around the church for 30 minutes while it was filling with people for service in which only 3 people out of the about 10,000 people said hello to him. He asked people for change to buy food – no one in the church gave him change. He went into the sanctuary to sit down in the front of the church and was asked by the ushers if he would please sit in the back. He greeted people only to be greeted back with stares and dirty looks, with people looking down on him and judging him. As he sat in the back of the church, he listened to the church announcements and such. When all that was done, the elders went up and were excited to introduce the new pastor of the church to the congregation. “We would like to introduce to you Pastor Jeremiah Steepek.” The congregation looked around clapping with joy and anticipation. The hom...
