Exclusive Details Snoop Dogg's birthday bash was dropped because it was literally too hot Friday night after a fire broke out in a club holding the event. A source at Heat Ultra Lounge tells TMZ a decorative chandelier burst into flames around 11:30 p.m. The crowd of about 600 had to be evacuated and Snoop's party was canceled, we're told he was just about to take the stage. We're told the blaze started after Halloween decorations on the ceiling overheated. The damage was minimal but a sprinkler system flooded the club's floor. The party, to celebrate Snoop's upcoming 44th bday will be rescheduled.

17, 2015 The Chairman of the Police Service Commission and former Inspector General of Police, Mr Mike Okiro, has expressed optimism that cases of extra-judicial killings across the Nigeria will be a thing of the past. The former police boss spoke at the commissioning of the renovated Ivbiotor Police Station on Dumez Road in Benin City, the capital of Edo State. Giving likely reasons for the cases of extra-judicial killings, he said: “Many of them have been in military rule and they do not know much about democracy and the rule of law. “We are now in a democracy and we need to train them, educate them and teach them the demands of democracy, so they will know that they have to do things that are lawful and there will be no extra-judicial killing any longer”. A former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio, has returned to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for more questioning after he was allowed to go home Friday night. Mr. Akpabio, who is also the incumbent minority leader of the Senate, arrived the EFCC at 11.45 am Saturday, accompanied by his counsel and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, Rikey Tarfa and some aides. As soon as the former governor arrived at the commission, he was moved into the interrogation room, a source who pleaded not to be named because he is not authorised to speak on the issue, told PREMIUM TIMES.
