The Centre for Social Justice, Equity and Transparency (CESJET) has petitioned the United States Embassy, alleging attempts by the Iranian Government to promote insurgency and undermine the sovereignty of Nigeria by its support for the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, the Shi’ites. CESJET in the petition at the weekend said the Shi’ite group has constituted itself into a parallel authority, with no regards for the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. 39-year-old Lanrewaju Jaiyeola,who feigned madness was arrested with 22 ATM cards, phones, bank tellers in Lagos State  A man who feigned madness has been arrested by the operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, RRS, of Lagos State Police Command with 22 Automatic Teller Machine, ATM, cards, two mobile phones and power bank along Ozumba Mbadiwe Road in Victoria Island. The 39-year-old man identified as Lanrewaju Jaiyeola, was said to have carried a backpack in a way that aroused suspicion which further fuelled his arrest by the police. A reliable police source said 22 assorted credit cards of different banks with different names, one Nokia phone, a blackberry, a power bank, several bank tellers of recent bank transactions and lots of invoices, amidst numerous pieces of papers, were found on him, Vanguard reports. The police in Nigeria’s capital, Abuja, has interrupted a gay marriage ceremony and whisked away the marriage partners alongside other suspects. The marriage was taking place at a popular hotel in Jiwa Community of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) when the police, acting on a tip-off, struck, a report in today’s edition of LEADERSHIP Weekend said. It identified the venue of the gay wedding as King’s Land Hotel and Saturday, February 6, 2016 as the day of the event. Ayodele Fayose, governor of Ekiti, has queried the source of former president Olusegun Obansanjo’s wealth, claiming that he siphoned public funds. Speaking in an interview with Osasu Igbinedion on The Osasu Show, Fayose also said President Muhammadu Buhari is clueless about the state of Nigeria’s economy. “I am the longest-serving governor, I’ve served in Obasanjo’s administration.
