Biden, who yet remains undecided whether to run for president, said Tuesday during a panel discussion at The George Washington University that he did not oppose the Navy SEAL’s raid on a compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, that allegedly killed the al-Qaeda leader in 2011. The vice president said there were only two definitive views on the mission from then-Defense Secretary Robert Gates and former CIA director Leon Panetta, tacitly questioning support for the mission by Democratic front ru...

Arsenal manager, Wenger reavels secrets how he won Bayern Munich

Arsene Wenger hailed his Arsenal side for their performance in a must-win game against Bayern Munich -- but warned their Champions League fate still remains in the balance. Having opened their European campaign with consecutive defeats to Dynamo Zagreb and Olympiakos, the Gunners returned to form with a 2-0 victory over an in-form Bayern side courtesy of second-half goals from Olivier Giroud and Mesut Ozil. Wenger named the same starting line-up that had won at Watford at the weekend, with Theo Walcott again played through the middle as the main striker. It was a header from the England forward which drew a stunning first-half save from Bayern's Manuel Neuer -- although the World Cup winner was at fault for Arsenal's opener.

I have seen wealthy Nigerians joins BH ---- says Osibajo

The Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has said he has seen wealthy individuals who are being enlisted into terrorism. He, however, did not name the individuals. A statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr. Laolu Akande, on Tuesday, quoted the Vice President as saying this while receiving the United States’ Special Envoy on Counter-terrorism Communication, Rashad Hussain, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Monday. Osinbajo was quoted as saying that the development was a clear departure from the case of those who were lured into terrorism for money. “I have seen people who are well-to-do being recruited into terrorism,” the statement quoted Osinbajo as saying. He wondered why for some strange reasons, terrorist groups, made up of completely mindless and almost insane people, were not finding it difficult to recruit people. He said it would have been understandable if the terrorists had been preaching better life, equity and such other lof...
